National Brownfields Conference, November 15 to 18 is a great reason to go to New Orleans

As the builders of the Alamodome learned when they had to deal with lead contaminated soil and as the developer of the former Big Tex vermiculite plant site which was contaminated by W R Grace Company learned, building on a site that has already been occupied can have its challenges.

The Brownfields 2009 conference Sunday November 15 through November 18th in New Orleans will address many of the issues associated with the redevelopment of abandoned, underutilized, and potentially contaminated properties in the nation.

The conference will include over 150 educational sessions, film screenings, a large exhibitors hall and more. Best of all registration is free.
